App privacy policy

In short

Bolus collects no personal data. No account is required. No patient data is entered or transmitted. Your display preferences stay on your device.

1. Data processed

Bolus only processes local data, stored within the app on your device:

  • your theme preference (light, dark or automatic);
  • the list of drug sheets you have added to your favorites;
  • the list of the drug sheets you viewed most recently;
  • the current timer: the reminder time and the name you give it, deleted as soon as you acknowledge it or it expires;
  • the date the timer guide was shown to you;
  • the date you accepted the usage disclaimer;
  • the date the app introduction was shown to you;
  • the version and date of the installed drug sheet catalog.

This data never leaves your device and is accessible to no one but you. It is never transmitted, neither to the publisher nor to any third party.

2. Serverless operation

Bolus is distributed exclusively through Google Play and the App Store. The drug sheets and all of the app's resources are included in the app: Bolus does not contact any server and works offline. Downloads and updates go through the stores, which apply their own privacy policies.

3. Timer notifications

The timer can alert you with a notification at the reminder time. To do so, the app asks for permission to display notifications and, on Android, to schedule exact alarms. The reminder is scheduled on your device: no server sends any notification and nothing is transmitted. You can withdraw these permissions at any time in your phone's settings; only the timer reminder will then stop working.

4. Analytics

Bolus uses no audience measurement or usage analytics tools: no cookies, no trackers. That is why no consent banner is displayed. No resource is loaded from a third-party service, fonts included.

5. No health data

Bolus collects no patient data and no personally identifiable data. The app therefore falls outside the scope of French health data hosting regulations (HDS). The calculators do not store any of the values you enter: they are only used to display a result, then discarded when the app is closed.

6. Contact us

The links on the Contact page open your email app. The “Signaler une erreur dans une fiche” link (report an error in a drug sheet) pre-fills an email with the app version, the drug sheet version, the screen concerned and the device type (Android or iPhone), to help understand the issue. Nothing is sent until you send this email yourself, and you can edit it before sending. Messages received are used solely to reply to you and to fix the app. Do not include any patient data.

7. Links to other websites

Bolus provides links to third-party websites: summaries of product characteristics (ANSM, the French public drug database), the official vaccination schedule, the bolus-app.fr website and Bolus's LinkedIn page. By following them, you leave the app; these websites apply their own privacy policies.

8. Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure and objection. You can erase all your local data from Settings, under “Mes données” (My data), or by deleting the app.

For any question: contact@bolus-app.fr.

9. Publisher

The Bolus app is published by: Anna Trabaud-Lopez, EI (sole trader under French law) 3 Cours Victor Hugo, 33150 Cenon, France SIRET (French business registration number): 130 291 602 00014 Email: contact@bolus-app.fr

The bolus-app.fr website has its own privacy policy (in French).

This is a translation of the French privacy policy; in case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
